Minor Winter Weather Event is Over

STATUS: Not chasing – staying home and watching football!

The minor winter weather event that brought a mixture of light rain, sleet and snow to north Georgia Saturday evening and early Sunday morning is pretty much over now.  There really isn’t much to see, even in the mountains, so I think I’ll save my energy and money and just stay home today and watch some football.

There could be a shot of some snow showers in extreme north Georgia on Monday, and possibly a little better chance for light snow and flurries across northern Georgia and Alabama late Monday night and into Tuesday.  I’ll have more on these particular threats later.

Very cool! That was the exact area I was going to be heading up to today, but I decided to stay put and go after hopefully a more significant winter event later this month. I hope I didn’t blow my chance!
